Update just came in...
Luke has 10 tumors that they can see scattered in both eyes. They are all in the peripheral area of the eye. No central vision impairment. All the tumors were treated with a laser or cryotherapy. Cryotherapy freezes smaller retinoblastoma tumors.
Because the tumors are not centrally located, his vision is still 20/20 in both eyes. !!! Yay for Luke!
No chemo needed for Luke! This is great news. We will focus on this.
(This is a great battle to have won, but this is a long term situation. As best we understand it, and in general terms, so long as the babies are growing, the masses or tumors will continue to form. The fact that they know about them now, they can be closely monitored.)
Darling Luke...

Yay! So glad he doesn't need chemo! I hope lots more good news is coming your way.
ReplyDeletePraying for all of your boys and family! Thanks to God for this good news!
