I kid you not!

Richard and I are the proud new owners of a portable air conditioner! We can't even begin to tell you how glad we are to have an air conditioner (I know, most of you are wondering if you even need air conditioners this far north, but let me tell you YES YOU DO!). Our apartment often reaches 30 C or 86 F in the evenings and it hardly cools down at night. So yes, we are very happy campers.

So the title of this post is because of the following story:
About 1 year ago when we were moving to Edmonton, we bought a couch online from a guy that lived a few minutes from our place. He was super nice and gave it to us for $10 less than his asking price because we didn't have exact change.
Anyways, this summer we have been looking online for a portable air conditioner and this one came up! We emailed the guy and went to go look at it - Well the directions looked a little familiar... it was in the same condo unit where we had bought our couch! But we thought, what are the chances? There is NO WAY it is the same guy we bought the couch from. Then he came to the door, and IT WAS HIM AGAIN! I was SO embarrassed - what if he recognized us?! Luckily he didn't (or at least he didn't say that he remembered us) and we got our air conditioner. But this time when we went to pay him and we didn't have exact change (I sure wish ATM's would give you $10's) and he told us to take it for $10 less, we insisted to give him $10 extra - we'll call it even.
The funny thing is, we've only bought 4 things online this whole year, what are the chances that we would buy from him twice! It's a small world!
