Cardston

After our trip to Utah, we headed to Cardston/Lethbridge for 5 weeks while Richard did some rotations. We had a fun time enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery. We went to Waterton and Glacier a few times. And we even got to go back to Echo for Labor Day weekend.

We had fun playing with the J&A Lows while we were there. Too bad this was the only shot we took of the cousins "playing" together.
Benson LOVED staring out the front window at cars and putting hand smears all over the windows.
Benson had had a few rough night sleeps. I was very frustrated with him because he quit nursing so I had no way of calming him down in the night. One Monday morning, we were out for a walk and I just happened to walk by a garage sale sign (ya, very strange, a garage sale on a Monday). And you know me, I never pass up a garage sale sign! Anyways, they had this table! I call it my tender mercy table cuz it just cheered up Benson and me so much that day! I always love a good deal, Benson always loves a new toy!
Benson loved sticking one of Grandma's clock puzzle pieces in his mouth while he crawled and played. I think every grand-kid loves sticking those things in their mouth when their that age. And I can't really complain, it is a perfect plug for him since he doesn't take a soother.
Cameron Falls in Waterton
First time dipping his feet in the freezing glacier water at Cameron Lake
Cameron Lake Trail
And one more picture at Cameron Lake
Climbing Bears Hump. Benson HATED the backpack carrier. He just screamed in it. So we took him out and took turns carrying him up the hill (Richard took much longer turns than me). Anyways, the carrier upset him so much that he still screamed the whole way up. People who passed by us kept commenting, "At least he's scaring all the bears away."
We made it to the top! This is my favorite view in Waterton.
And again, screams all the way down.
We parked in Waterton Townsite to go to Weiners of Waterton. Some car parked SO close behind us even though there was tons of space behind us. Richard HAD to point out that the plates were from Utah...
One day we went on a drive to Police Lake. I couldn't resist taking a picture of Old Chief.
We went on a hike in Glacier. Benson didn't love the carrier, but this time he tolerated it thankfully. I had to bribe him with a lot of treats though.
Our little rock climber!
Just a pretty lake along the way.
And a funny shaped tree
All cooled off on the car ride home from our hike.
On our trip to Echo, we forgot the legs to the high chair. Benson got to practice eating Japanese style. He quite liked it. I liked it until he figured out how to roll the chair over.
Bath time! Actually the reason for this picture is to remind me of a funny story. Richard had filled up the tub all nice and warm for Benson. I took off his diaper and plopped him in. Suddenly, I noticed a piece of poop floating around! I forgot to check his diaper before putting him in and plopped him in with his poo. Oops! Don't worry, we disinfected the tub REALLY well.
