Then I had a really awesome nurse today. She was SO cheerful and so good with my babies, I could just tell she really cared and worked hard to make sure the babies were happy and ate as best as they could. Anyways, as she was leaving she came to me and said how special it was for her to care for my triplets today. Today was her son's 3rd birthday... And he was a triplet. She lost the other 2. Talk about another amazing woman. I was just overcome with emotion as I looked at my healthy babies. We have been so blessed. I can never take these babies for granted. I am so thankful for the many prayers that were said in our behalf, and I am motivated to be a better mother because I know the blessings and miracles that have come our way.
And on to the update. Luke has moved to a demand schedule. This means he can decide how much he eats (won't force him to eat more if he doesn't want it). And he can go up to 4 hrs between feeds. Thomas will likely join him on the demand schedule as soon as tomorrow possibly. He still has his NG tube, but only needs it about once a day to finish a feed. Mason is on semi demand and is using his NG tube less. They increased his amount per feed again and he is quickly catching up to his brothers! As for weights, Thomas is 4lb4oz, Mason is 3lb8oz, and Luke is 4lb2oz.
What sweet stories and awesome people! You look great Les! So glad to hear that the boys are doing so well!
