When the cancer was first found, a kind email came through to me. A woman who lived a few hours away in Calgary wanted to help Leslie and Richard. She ended up making a bunch of freezer meals (courtesy of Dashing Dishes) and driving them up to the Low's this weekend. She also brought her friend that lost an eye when he was in high school. Kerry has her own children, one of which has had some health problems, so she felt like she wanted to reach out to them... amazing.

I've mentioned Meredith before - the amazing woman who has just stepped in and been our answer to many questions. Meredith's daughter Olivia also has retinoblastoma. This weekend Meredith and three of her children were able to come and snuggle with the babies for a bit. It was a nice visit for everyone. I think it's reassuring to meet someone else who's been through what you've been through, and can empathize with all the emotions Leslie and Richard must be feeling...

This week we also had Marie (one of Richard's Aunts) here helping with the triplets. It was sure nice to have her here, and her daughter that lives locally stop in. This week would've been a rough one keeping on top of Luke's eyedrop schedule without help. :)
Earthly angels.
No other words describe people who so willingly step outside of themselves to help others. We as extended family are still in awe of so many kind 'strangers' that are now friends.
It was our pleasure! So many generous people contributed to our efforts. Miss those little guys today. Have a good trip tomorrow.
