EUA Updates

Great news today - nobody had new tumors!  Everyone was treated for previous tumors that have been treated in the past.

Thomas had a few old tumors in the periphery cryoed today (frozen).

Mason had his port removed.  (The port was put in back when they were doing chemo).  Everyone is happy to have that over with!  Mason also had one old tumor cryoed today.

Luke gave the only rollercoaster ride for today.  Luke's left eye has some serious damage, we knew this.  Today during the exam they found tissue floating in the eye.  They were concerned it might be seeds.  It was later discovered to be some scar tissue that is floating, barely attached (like a piece of seawead.)  The first thought was to immediately enucleate, thinking it was cancer seeding.  But now that they are confident it is scar tissue, they won't do an emergency removal.

The projected enucleation date for Luke's Left Eye is looking like December or January.

Luke's right eye had one tiny area in the periphery that was treated today.

  1. Wonderful news! Surely a Thanksgiving to remember :) I didn't realize that you had decided to go ahead with an enucleation for Luke. As sad as I am to hear of it, I'm grateful that taking this step should minimize his future risk - and stress for all of you. I hope you have a safe journey home.
