Useless

So I've been trying to find some volunteer work the last couple of weeks to keep me busy. I have been a little discouraged because I haven't found many opportunities that looked interesting. AND any that I have been interested in haven't contacted me back. Isn't that pretty sad that I'm offering to work for FREE and nobody will even email me back?!? Anyways, today I decided to go to the library and ask about volunteering. They have NO OPENINGS! I'm not even useful enough to shelve books! Wow, am I that useless?! jk.
OK, so I know I'll find something worthwhile to do soon, but until then at least I picked up a collection of books to read!!

  1. That's sad Les. You would think tons of places would be looking for volunteers. Have you tried the local elementary schools? I know ours is always looking for people to help kids with reading.

  2. Hmm. You could always just pick up garbage! That's a service, and you don't need permission to do it! :) What books did you pick up?

  6. Don't give up I'm sure you will find something. I have lots of book recommendations. Two of my favorites that I read this year are the last lecture by Randy Pausch and Yearning for the Living God by Enzio Busche (this is a church book).
